As a retired NYC chef I can confidently say that as far as Americanized Chinese food goes, the food at this place is on point and right up there with the best of them. That’s a compliment but it’s as far as it goes. I would really love to make this my go to location but I can’t quite do that and am going to keep looking. Tonight was my fifth time there and 3/5 times my food has been horribly late. I assume that it’s a husband and wife team that runs the place and if she’s there the business runs smoothly but with out her the guy is simply not capable of running expo. his cooks are pumping out food and he’s not able to keep up. As a customer it’s absolutely infuriating to see your food on the counter getting cold as he works on a delivery order for a driver that’s not even there yet. You can not look your customers in the eyes four or five times without even acknowledging their existence! This business can not excel in its current state which is a shame because the food is great. The guy needs to work counter or expo. He is not capable of doing both and it is directly effecting the business. This company needs an other employee and they need them yesterday.
The food was great! The place could use some refreshing.
Fantastic! We recently moved to the area and the last couple Chinese restaurants have not been up to par. We saw China King when went to Food Lion next door and had to try it. I love BBQ spare ribs which are hard to find in TN. These were fabulous with fried rice, not greasy but flavorful. Excellent sweet sauce. My son had Pork Lo Mein which he said was great. The egg drop soup was excellent! We have found our weekly go to with nice lunch specials and friendly staff. Our pick up order was ready on time and still warm when we got home. Thank you so much!!
The only place I'll get my Chinese food from. Simple and straight forward and friendly. Portions are enough for two.
I don't think I've ever left a bad review for Chinese food in my life, but don't eat this. Tastes and textures were all wrong, from the thick dumpling wrappers to their odd sausage-like stuffing, the heavy cornstarched, globular sauce on the beef and broccoli (undercooked), all just yuck. Temperature was okay, delivery was fine. They sent no cutlery or hot oil even tho we asked (and paid for the oil) , but sent a mountain of mustard, soy sauce duck sauce. We didn't expect fancy anything, just regular takeout Chinese and this was inedible. We settled on a bag of chips from the hotel lobby, which was far superior. Never again.
