The resfritos and rice are similar. The enchiladas are different and I like them a lot. I can't wait to try the many other Mexican food items on the menu.
PROS: Kind and attentive waitresses, decent prices. Great barbacoa tacos. Tortillas seem homemade.CONS: Salsas need improvement (red salsa tastes like sweet canned tomato sauce, another red salsa is all heat with no flavor, and green salsa could use a bit of salt). I would not recommend any item that comes with “salsa” on it (e.g. eggs rancheros, chilaquiles, etc). The menu is too large to ensure quality for every item (some items are really not worth offering). I think the restaurant may mainly cater to a non-Hispanic demographic rather than “paisanos”.
Good food with lots of choices on the menu. I ordered street tacos and enjoyed every bite all 5) My husband ordered empanada plate. We were both happy with taste and serving portions. I noticed no guacamole or queso on the menu, so if that's what you're after, look elsewhere. Atmosphere was nothing to speak of, but attentive service. Some Mexican pottery for sale at the counter
We came to town for our son’s football game and stopped here for an early dinner. It was delicious!!! Wide variety on the menu, and our family had whole fried fish, chili relleno, juevos rancheros, a burrito, eggs, bacon and pancakes. All of it was excellent, and they took very good care of us. We will even make the drive to come back.
The mini tacos with barbacoa doesn’t disappoint ; delicious. Lovely people with great hospitality, gave us free Mexican ice pops afterwards . Recommend eating here 9/10.
