Sue Brothers - New Amsterdam

One of the absolute best restaurants in Guyana! I traveled all the way from Canada (Toronto) just to experience this cuisine. The flavors were bold and delicious, with every dish deserving a perfect 10/10. I highly recommend this place, especially for the best fried rice and chow mein.

Decent restaurant considered one of the few good ones . Nice inside . Just 1 server who takes orders and brings the food so a bit slow. We ordered vegetarian fried rice without egg and a chicken fried rice which was decent with cokes and water . It’s a meeting place for others and we also met up with a friend .

We dined at the renowned Sue Brothers restaurant in Amsterdam, Berbice, Guyana, in April 2022, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the drinks were also great. Our waitress provided excellent service, and overall, the service was very good. The prices were quite reasonable, especially considering we served seven people for under $150. The restaurant was clean and spacious, so you won't have to worry about feeling crowded. They also followed two safety protocols, which was reassuring. When I visit Guyana again, I will definitely return to dine here.

The food was good and the service was excellent. I placed an order ahead of time for a large group and they went above and beyond by outtinf name placards for each person in our group on the table. When we arrived and sat down, our dishes were brought out immediately. I highly recommend Sue Brothers for a meal, as well as their other location Street Wise.
