The dish had perfectly-sized carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, and celery without any green peas. The best part is that you can customize your dish by choosing the protein and sauce. One of my friends had a dish with 8 different vegetables, while the other enjoyed lo mein noodles with a combination of proteins. They also offer dinner options for 3, 4, and 5 people. However, when I returned today, I was disappointed with the egg roll that only had 2 shrimp and mostly cabbage. My son found his broccoli and pork in brown sauce to be bland and chewy. My daughter liked her egg drop soup and shrimp with veggies, but I found that the veggies in my dish were cut too big. Despite this, the brown sauce had good flavor and there were plenty of shrimp. I also ordered fried rice with shrimp and eggs, which had a good amount of shrimp.
Walked in first as they opened. Cashier took my order. Several people came in behind me, including someone who ordered online. I watched everyone get their food while I sat there waiting for a single, simple dish. Finally given my food, got in the car and drove the 7 blocks to my house. Sat down to eat the food was cold, probably not been in the wok for even 30 seconds. Green Tea has gone way downhill in recent years. There are 2 other Chinese restaurants on ClaiborneAve with the same exact quality food: Pre cooked and thrown in the wok to heat up when ordered. I'll be taking my business to the others from now on.
This place is delicious, but it is not vegan. All their sauces have chicken broth. That?s what the cooks and waiter told me in late June 2022. Their food is great, and so is the service. Just not a place for vegans
I ordered the Mongolian Beef entree along with a large won ton soup. The meal also came with a shrimp egg roll, rice, and crackers. I washed it all down with a Diet Coke. The prices at this place are good overall. Unfortunately, they are still not open for dine-in service, which was disappointing. Hopefully, they will fully open soon. The food tasted good from what I have sampled so far.
The hot and flavorful sweet and sour soup had a generous amount of vegetables. The menu offers options for vegetarians. Be sure to specify which tea you want, as the bubble tea is more expensive. The service was excellent and there were leftovers to take home. Overall, it was a worthwhile and enjoyable dining experience.
