Derenika was just a delight checked us in early morning and set us up for late check out as Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members. Derenika's whole attitude was just so pleasant and lovely. Because the hotel is on the older side, the rooms are smaller, but everything is functionable and in good condition. The restaurant onsite is great along with the bar. The menu has a variety that could please anybody and they also have happy hour options. All in all, I would definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.
Let me tell you. I attempted to make reservations for 8 rooms and the 3rd party company didn't process the reservations. So instantly I think, omg I have a bunch of staff that need to stay there. I forgot the young lady's name but she was so helpful. She honored the reservation quote and was real kind throughout the whole process. I wish I could have remembered her name. But she was light skinned with blonde hair and pretty blue nails. She left a positive impression and I will be using this hotel EVERY TIME I need to book a hotel in New Orleans!!!
The valet and staff were nice. The hotel was very average. I stayed at best western that's a 2 star hotel in bum fuc-tx that was much better quality and cleanliness than this place. I was charged ridiculous fees even though I worked it out in advance. Will not stay again. Anyone that's traveled knows what im talking about.
I can deal with a lot at hotels, I've stayed in small rooms, I've shared with cousins and have slept on an air mattress before that does not scare me.Front desk was OK the door ma. Was polite and so was the sweet lady at the bar.The one thing I cannot let go is the THEFT from housekeeping.my bag was with me the entire time and the only time it was left alone was in my room, they stole a red NIXON watch from my bag that was brand new.I never pulled it out and never thought the hotel would say they are not responsible when they are hiring thieves.Juat be careful coming to this place, lock your stuff up cause they have sticky hands.
I recently stayed here and my stay was very pleasant. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. If you are an elite member, you are given a $15 food/drink vouchers to use per day per person. You can even use it on alcohol which was a plus. Since there isn’t a lounge, you will also get access to a room filled with water bottles, coffee/tea, sodas and snacks. I’ve only had breakfast at the hotel which was ok. I tried the scramble one morning and the American breakfast. Nothing to rave about but it was decent. I was expecting better considering it’s New Orleans. The disappointing thing about this hotel were the rooms. They are very outdated which was a shocker. Most renaissance hotels are very modern. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay open and the shower was very small and tight. The sheets also had piles of hair in it and didn’t seem clean. My favorite thing about this hotel was the bar staff. Especially Gerald. He was hilarious and provided great customer service. I would return to the hotel just to see him and have his amazing hurricanes! They were the best I’ve had in New Orleans. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are literally 5 mins walking from bourbon street.I am not sure if I would stay here again due to the quality of the rooms but I would definitely come back for a drink at the bar and laughter with Gerald.
