Love that they offer a cheap mix-and-match combo with some great items available, which are always good quality and prepared very well. They've recently started offering bubble tea as well, which is on par with pretty much every other bubble tea place I've been to in Metro Van. The fresh fruit Pineapple Mango Slush is delicious! although (expectedly) very sweet haha. I visit or order from this place almost every time I'm in New West and am never disappointed!
I am still discovering local restaurants in my neighbourhood as I near the two-year mark of living in South-East Burnaby. Osaka Island has been our go-to for sushi. Unfortunately, nothing really stands out. The food is average, as is the speed and service. It is spacious, which is important when you have to add a high chair at the end of a booth. Kojima Sushi, a Chinese run Japanese restaurant located beside Hon's, is one of them! <br/ <br/ My mom got takeout for me a few weeks back, and since I was pretty satisfied with their salmon sashimi, I decided to make a visit!
I work down the street from these guys, I order from them like every second day, No matter what I order it is so good and the proportions are more than fair, My favorite dish is their Beef teriyaki Don, And Beef Yakisoba, Their miso soup is the best i have ever tried, This in my opinion is the hidden gem of New West, No matter what you order you wont be sorry.
I’ve been here for lunch during the weekday and found that they’re not too busy. Most of the tables are partitioned into little alcoves for more privacy but it also cuts down on the amount of natural light that comes in from the window. I started out my first visit with an order of Goma-Ae
