Great vibe, flavorful cuisine, warm and welcoming energy. Calf liver, my weakness :
My dish didn't taste very appetizing. The chicken was not very tender and overall taste was less than okay for a restaurant with good reviews. My family was celebrating my mom's birthday and we didn't eat very much at all because the food prepared was not good. Even the lettuce in the salad tasted dry and had no dressing whatsoever. The bread on the other side was delicious but unfortunately you don't go to a restaurant to eat bread only.
The food here was delicious and the staff were very nice and helpful. It's been hard to find a nice Turkish restaurant in NY with decent food lately, but ABA did not disappoint. The portions are quite big, even the appetizers can be ordered as main course, and the service was surprisingly fast.Food: 5/5
Lovely fresh food, however the flavor in the dressings could be amped up. The salads dressings tasted very plain. We ordered Greek salad, Shepard's salad, lamb chops, eggplant salad beet salad, trout and salmon to share and everything was nicely presented and fresh. The salmon was a bit plain too could have used some fresh herbs or spice.
