The jumbo lump crab cake was fantastic. The beef tartare is made with minced beef instead of hand-chopped, which affects the texture, but it's still well-seasoned and delicious. Unfortunately, the filet mignon was a bit of a letdown. I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium or medium well. Nevertheless, it was still a good steak. Overall, it's worth visiting if you're in the area.
This is one of the best steaks I've ever had, if not the best. This legendary steakhouse boasts a unique decor, featuring rich dark wood tones and a charming 50s style. The service was excellent, from the young lady who seated us to the bartenders and waitstaff. The steaks were outstanding, and there is a wide variety of delicious sides to choose from. I particularly loved the Pecan and Key Lime pies. Conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning soon.
The prices are quite reasonable for upscale steak in NYC, especially when compared to those overhyped spots that are all about theatrics and celebrities. The seafood platter was incredibly fresh, and the aged Porterhouse was packed with flavor, cooked to a perfect rare as I requested. One standout feature is that the side dishes are more generous compared to other steakhouses. I do recommend making a reservation in advance, as it tends to get busy; even on a Saturday night, the staff managed to keep service running smoothly. If I had to find something to critique, the dessert menu could be a bit more exciting.
It's some of the best steak in the world. There is a reason this is a world famous Steakhouse, because they deliver on the hype. It was easily one of the best steaks I have ever had. As you enter you walk by the dry aging room, where you can see all of the steaks waiting to age. That alone is an impressive sight. And while it's not exactly cheap (menu pictures are from 2019), the prices are very reasonable for a steakhouse of this quality anywhere, let alone in the heart of Manhattan. If you get a chance, go.
We received absolutely wonderful service and enjoyed spectacular food. Our server was very kind and checked in on us on a frequent enough basis. The food tasted wonderful. We ordered a steak for two medium and one medium well, both cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese tasted wonderful, the calamari crunchy and tasted fresh, the cream spinach more on the spinach side, and the deserts were absolutely divine. After a day at work, getting to enjoy such spectacular food was an absolute treat.
