I crave the masala chai daily from here so it’s my special, special treat. I’ve had the samosas as well which were super tasty. I’ve been. To both locations and they are both delicious. This one last a cute, little garden across the street.
Chai is on tap, and is fine, but not the best in the city. Might be the best homemade in the neighborhood? I haven 't been to hideout chai bar yet, but the chai spot is also pretty meh [but beautiful and lovely to sit in]. If you 're looking for chai I like gasoline alley 's, but theirs is concentrate mix. I will say you get a chai here extremely fast, and they have biscuits that are common to get with chai which are nice. I hope their business does well and their marketing gets less best chai ever! . I have not yet tried the food but I did like the biscuits.P.S. If you have time check out Hidden Grounds Co. in greenpoint, you might enjoy that one.
The masala chai was not very impressive. Too watery and does not have enough spices. You’re better off making it yourself at home. However, the opposite can be said for their chai soft serve which tastes more concentrated in spices, but for $6 dollars, it is definitely not worth it.
The chai was delicious and the food was excellent as well! While the chai is good, I would recommend ordering food over drinks if you had to choose one.
