Plunge Rooftop Lounge - New York

The bar is beautiful for drinks, but I was disappointed by the lack of waiter service, even though we had a reserved table.

I requested to speak with the manager, but the person they brought out didn’t even seem to be in charge. His shirt was unbuttoned, and he appeared quite unprofessional. He claimed he had spoken to me prior to my booking, but I had spoken to a woman. Everything he said was confusing and didn’t add up. He kept insisting he had talked to me and even mentioned something strange about being called a girl, which made no sense at all. I definitely do not recommend this place. The drinks were overpriced, and the atmosphere was lacking, as there were hardly any customers there.

The restaurant offers an excellent selection for the upcoming season, and the atmosphere is casual with a fantastic view. I met my family from Switzerland here for the first time, and the bustling lunch room with lounge seating was ideal for our time together. I can imagine the vibe being quite different during the warmer months.

The low rating was for the food. We ordered the cheese board with meats and assorted things. It was expensive and we didn’t like most of it. The crab cakes were the ok and the chicken skewers were ok. I would recommend gong there for drinks but eat before you go.

Staff was super conscientious. Great place, a lot of fun.
