Half the pieces of okra were inedible because they weren't ripe. And finally, two small Ras Malai (that I watched be scooped out of agrocery store freezer pack) for $4! Outrageous! I'll probably be back but my expectations will be lower.
I received a coffee and 2 curries instead of the 2 rotis and coffee I ordered. It seems they don't pay attention to orders and will likely make mistakes.
I really love this restaurant. I have visited twice already and it has become my go-to spot for a tasty, budget-friendly, and fast lunch. I plan on coming back regularly.
The samosas smothered in chickpeas and sour yogurt at this place are the ultimate snack. The staff is incredibly friendly and the range of veggie options would make any vegetarian ecstatic. Not only is the food budget-friendly, but it's also incredibly satisfying and bursting with flavor. This is the only spot in Manhattan where I'll grab Indian food, and I don't even know the names of half the dishes.
Counter serve, ready to eat home style Indian meals. Very cheap for nice sized portions. Great option if your looking for a quick bite. Can?t beat the price in this neighborhood.
