The drink menu was small and didn't showcase the talent of our barmaid. She was very attentive and suggested alternative drinks. The prices were very affordable. This is a place I will visit again.
We were very happy to see Bummie’s come back after the original place burned down it’s been a cherished hometown dining spot for decades. I had the fish sandwich and it was 5 stars. The burgers remain the absolute top of the list, service is fast and friendly no matter the server you get, and the decor is sort of Sixties retro. Everything I’ve ever ordered there has been delicious. Service is always attentive. The atmosphere is loud because the place is always hopping with families and groups having fun and telling stories and laughing, sometimes loudly. It’s that kind of place! but if noise is an issue for you, this might bother you. The tables and aisles are pretty close together so I’m not sure of handicapped accessibility other than to say that given the friendliness of the staff, I am sure they would do their best, but the aisle where we last sat was definitely not wide enough for a wheelchair and was tough to maneuver with a cane. The parking lot is ten times what the old place had but still can be a little difficult to maneuver around in because it’s always packed and the spaces are tight, and since it sits on a corner, can sometimes be a little tough to exit, depending on when you’re there. It’s next to the football stadium and it’s a very popular hometown spot, so plan your visit time accordingly; you might have a long wait to get in. (The host will tell you what the wait time is when you enter) I always tell people to visit Bummie’s, especially if they ask me where to get the best hamburger in town.
Found this hidden gem on Google maps/restaurant search and what a find. Food was fantastic.
We love going here so here are my pros cons: Pros: Great food. I love the Chicken Tenders. The pizza is a little pricy but amazing. Fries aren 't bad. Apps are delicious! Service is pretty good! The vibe is pretty good! Cons: Online ordering continues to only be for Pizza, Salads and Subs. Anything else you need to come in and wait for. Website menu says Out of stock on a lot of things. I am sure most of their menu isn 't, but it may lead to confusion. Parking is a major issue because the place is on the corner. Turning in to or out of the parking lot using the W. Main St entrance can be dangerous being so close to the stop light. Turning into or out of the N. 11th St side is a little better, but getting in if the light is red may take a minute. The lot needs to be restriped. The stripes are so faded it 's hard to see sometimes and people just make up the spots. The tables are a little too close and it does get crowded and thus loud. After the original location on N. Cedar St burned down, I am surprised that this location is small too. They have no problem filling every seat in this place so I thought it would have been larger. I know I have more cons than pros but definitely give this place a shot. It 's delicious and you will be glad you stopped!
Overpriced bar food. Place is way to small, sitting on top of people . Wings basic , fries were decent . Pizza greasy . And to top it off they charge you for ranch without notice which is annoying when you pay $16.99 for awful wings.
