Sabatini - Newcastle upon Tyne

The food lacked seasoning and was very basic and underwhelming. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, they're not the ones you can eat.

We're a family of Sardinians, and it tastes like home. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The restaurant is very elegant and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely come back again.

Expected SO much more. The tapas was bland, didn’t taste fresh and not up to standard at all! I used to visit Sabatinis years ago and it was top notch but I was sadly disappointed. There’s so much better competition in Newcastle and I really think Sabas need to up their game! The prawn skewers were the size of my thumb and had zero flavouring. The Italian sausage and meetballs just didn’t have a lot of taste and we all thought the same so it wasn’t just me. The beef was lovely though and the potato skins. I can’t comment on the rest of the menu as we all had tapas but sadly won’t be returning. Really gutted as I had been looking forward to this for weeks. Hope we were just a one off but the restaurant was pretty empty to. Sorry to have to write a negative review but I wish someone had of told me not to bother.

It’s a 600 mile round trip for us to visit Sabas but worth every yard of the journey Our family live in the North East and every time we visit them we go to Sabas. Yesterday was our Grandson birthday and he chose Sabas as it’s his favourite restaurant they made a fuss of him and made him feel very special Yet again great food great staff great value Thanks guys

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant, with live music in the bar area and a lively atmosphere in the elegant restaurant section. We chose several items from the fantastic Italian Tapas menu and were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server, Fabiana, was not only efficient but also entertaining, with her enthusiastic and lively personality. She definitely deserves 5 stars for making our dining experience memorable.
