I had rung before and checked, we didn't have to eat two courses as advertised on their "pre show" menu on the website. our collective horror was terrible. fisch .chips, an underwhelming chicken salad and no other that has not been fried or fried or fried! cannot order a glass of wine from the food ordering area, which is like a coles cafeteria of the old. they must go to another area; wow is really what is offered for such an iconic triple place. they bring their act together ncc and do something positive about this embarrassing terrible situation. for better eating and wein we recommend you to drive 2 minutes to the clarendon hotel.
This restaurant is a charming and intimate spot. It's a convenient option to grab a bite before heading to the theater, but the food is a bit underwhelming. The pizzas are unique and topped with mayonnaise.
I only write this review because this room has so much potential....it was easy to eat, but good and reasonable expensive. we first sat outside and were ignored. another couple sitting outside from the left without ordering. there was no sign that they had to order at the theke and at the waitress while being sweet on a work seemed to govern mission. the caffe was not busy. we worked out how to order food, but couldn't find a beverage menu. it, one, was behind the counter.-like we didn't see a dessert menu.It was probably behind the counter. that was during the writers festival. when more diner arrived, they seemed satisfied to help themselves to free water...no upsell. that's not how they run a business. there is no money to be made in free water. Maybe they didn't know there was a drink menu. I noticed that someone else was finally going to the counter after waiting patiently for them to take their order. which would never happen. this is a beautiful space in a beautiful part of newcastle. that should be pumping. I don't know who owns this business. a little mistaken towers.
We had a quick lunch at this restaurant. The selection of food was adequate and the dishes were tasty. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming.
Stopped in before Rockwiz. Good prices and some ridiculously tasty coconut prawns. Really friendly staff and fast. Happily recommend.
