Saltwater Harborside Dining - Newport

As locals, we usually steer clear of hotel restaurants, but I stand corrected after visiting (at least for this season). We had an excellent meal starting with a delicious homemade Italian wedding soup, a tasty roasted clam appetizer, and a Lobster Boil Clambake. The chef even came to our table to explain that he only had a half order of shells (the fresh shell order did not come in), which we found very thoughtful and the presentation was always beautiful. It was a very slow night in the restaurant, with only a few other diners present while we were there, but it was not intrusive. The service was excellent. Thank you. We will definitely be returning!

I tried the delicious fish tacos, while my wife had a salad and clam chowder (which she picked at). Overall, this restaurant was a great place for dinner - not too busy and with excellent service. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in Newport again.

The Valentine's Day Dinner was amazing! The food, from appetizers to desserts, was outstanding and the presentation was creative.

Noisy drunk people, only the bar area was open, we didn't even have dinner.

They do not take open table reservations, there was a big mix up. They seated us on a table that was given to other customers. very uncomfortable situation.
