Sapori - Newport Beach

Great, solid and authentic Italian food. Must try. When they have their chicken soup, get it. I wish they’d make it a mainstay!

Service was fantastic, sat at the bar. The restaurant was hopping. Food was ok. Nothing was salted, everything was bland, from the salad, to the burrata, to the pasta and the chicken. It made sense when we looked around that everyone had salt and pepper in front of them and they were salting every dish. Wish I could give the place a better rating, but Italian food should have flavor. This just didn’t.

Cosy Italian food restaurant in Newport Beach ticked away in upscale strip mall near Balboa Island. Pricey but good, and satisfying. Can bring your own wine for corkage fee, but call first. Otherwise, pretty decent wine selection. Can split salad and or appetizer and save room for yummy selection of dessert! Nice place. Reservations recommended, especially on weekends. Plenty of free parking.

First time visiting Sapori. The food was amazing. Service was excellent, and the whole place had a great atmosphere. The staff all seemed to be enjoying their jobs, which made for a more enjoyable experience. The owner, Sal, stopped us on our way out to thank us and we had a great chat with him about Italy! Will definitely be back!

This place is very good! Try both the pizza page and the fine restaurant are both amazing! The staff was always attentive, very good homemade bread and the food is great!! The pizzas are right in front of you in an oven!! I added Salmon to my pear salad, I loved it!!
