It was quite a treat to experience a buffet breakfast at The Pantry, it is situated at the ground floor of Dusit Thani hotel in Makati. For under $15 the vast array of breakfast selection are truly overwhelming, as a matter of fact they were already roasting a full size pig when we came at 9 in the morning. We started our brekky with a fresh brewed coffee and light continental selection like bread , butter and jam. I then followed it with some Filipino breakfast favorites such as local bread or pan de sal, dried fish with fried garlic rice, sausages and congee. I concluded my breakfast with some French pastries. All the dishes are freshly made and will suit everyone's tastes. I loved everything in this place, from the spacious location to the well laid out food stations, It is definitely a must try!
This replace the breakfast buffet of the hotel, which was in dire need of renovation. A welcome change to the ageing white giant that marks the entry of Makti along EDSA. The spread is well distributed, showcasing the processes and equipment perfectly for diners to appreciate. The selection is rather limited considering the price the buffet dictates, comparatively speaking. Competition is tough and expectations are high, which is why it just passes as okay in my book. Depending on your situation, it can be the best option or be the lesser of a better option, overall a good option. Savoury food especially in the Indian and Thai station. The Seafood Station is the highlight of the buffet in my opinion. Serving fresh Lobsters, savoury Sea Bass, Oysters, Salmon, and more. The Pasta Station is serves pasta that's prepared by an Italian Chef. Drinks are included in the buffet price; fresh orange or apple juice, brewed coffee, and hot tea.
Good enough. Often delicious food, though at times, inconsistent. Desserts are the highlight for me. On the pricey side.
This is a restaurant coffeeshop at the main floor of the Dusit Thani Hotel, it's open all hours during the Day and serves limited dishes from a variety of options. Few dishes from each style of American, Italian, Chinese noodles, Pinoy and of course Thai. Would recommend Thai options as you won't go wrong with that portion (its part of one of the best Thai restaurant). The ingredients are claimed to be all natural and organic. Preparations are full of flavoring without being overtly spicy. If you are not feeling like Thai food you can easily pick any American choice sandwich or chicken wings etc.. The bar is adjacent to the restaurant and is full service. Coffee machine can do variety of brews. Service can be slow during late afternoons as they have limited staff during those hours and sole parts of restaurant closed. Overall it's great option to get a quick meal and for meetings.
