Despite being one of only two customers that day, the atmosphere of the restaurant was still great. It's a small restaurant that seems to have originally been a huddle house, but has since been transformed into a Japanese restaurant. The decor is charming and cozy. There was only one waitress and one cook working that day, but it seemed to be all they needed. I visited on a rainy afternoon and tried the lunch special, which included Teriyaki chicken, miso soup, a garden salad, fried rice, and mixed vegetables, all for under $11. I thought it was a fair price for what I got. The food was delicious, not bad at all. They also have a variety of other options on their menu, such as sushi and Hibachi dishes. I can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings!
The service here is excellent. The restaurant has been renamed Okinawa, but is still managed by the same group. I have never had any issues with our orders and the service is quick. There seems to be a high turnover of waitstaff, but it could be due to various reasons. On a few occasions, I found that the meat wasn't very fresh and the avocados were not ripe, but overall, it is a great place to dine in the neighborhood.
