However, I was rudely accused by the manager, Jackie, of handing them alcoholic drinks due to the fact the glass hadn’t been picked up on our table. She then proceeded to constantly accuse me and shove the drink that was still full into my arms whilst I was playing pool and she said rudely ‘keep hold of it’. This ruined what was a good experience at this pub. The other bar members, a young lad, and a girl with green ends made it much more pleasurable. However, Jackie is a poor, embarrassing excuse of a manager and I think her service was quite frankly appalling. Would not recommend. George
I frequent this restaurant often because I stay at the caravan site nearby. The pub food is currently much improved and offers good value for money. However, I find the drinks prices to be a bit high and they require the use of plastic glasses when drinking outside. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.
Waiting team were helpful and friendly and main course portions were huge (but food very average). Spring roll starter was tasty but unfortunately not much else went in its favour for us. Bar prices are top end, unlike the service from the barman who seemed to be away with the fairies. Disappointing overall.
We had a delicious Sunday roast carvery that was expertly cooked. The staff were very attentive and the weather was perfect, so we were able to dine outside as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.
My family of three had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the rump special, my partner had the burger, and my daughter-in-law had the lasagne. All of our meals arrived promptly, were piping hot, and tasted delicious. The food had a homemade feel to it, and the chips were especially amazing. Overall, we would highly recommend this restaurant for a visit.
