The egg rolls were awesome, not dry and very crispy on the outside while moist on the inside. My husband's favorite wonton soup was great as well. This was our first time ordering from Sunrise House, but it definitely won't be our last.
The food at this restaurant can only be described as mediocre. The Fried Wonton (10) was overcooked and dry. The General Tso's Chicken was tough and lacked spiciness. The egg roll was greasy, but interestingly enough, it was the most flavorful item on the menu.
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I decided to go with a simple dish, the chicken lo mein combo. Unfortunately, the flavor was not impressive and it was way too sweet. The vegetables in the dish were lacking, with only scallions and shaved carrots included, missing key ingredients like snow peas or bok choy. The portion size was also disappointing, with only half a container provided. The other half contained very oily fried rice, also lacking in veggies. For the price of $16.00, I felt I did not receive enough food that was poorly prepared. I would give this restaurant 2 stars at most. I do not plan on returning and am even considering requesting a refund for the entire meal. I ended up throwing away the egg roll as well.
Fantastic food. The General Tsos Chicken was a pretty bug portion. I will definetly order from here again!
Best boneless spare ribs Ive had.
