Yeonga Korean Restaurant

We went here for my brother's birthday. I love the ambience of the place and I'm quite happy that they use coal for the barbecue. We had the "Gone with the mix" and an order of Japchae. The japchae was a big hit for all of us, the taste was well-balanced and it was not too sweet like other Japchaes I had. The meat was fresh and the portions were quite good for us (we were five people). The Bulgogi hot spot was also very good (my grandma's favorite of the night). The staff was attentive and friendly as well. The only downside for me was the lack of side dishes for the bbq. Then again, we left the restaurant quite satisfied.

We really enjoyed our meal and highly recommend checking Yeonga out for your Korean bbq fix! We had one of the set menus plus a serve of japchae and were absolutely stuffed full by the end. Plentiful side dishes and cheery attentive service. Our extractor fan over our grill had some issues halfway through our meal - which wasn't a problem for us at all - but the staff insisted on not charging us for our drinks and japchae which was incredibly generous. Thanks so much guys! We will definitely be back the next time we're in Melbourne!

Lovely food and great service,very good location.But fairly expensive. Probably better value places around.

We had a really nice evening over the bbq grill and hot pot. We got a booth upstairs for the 6 of us while a little cramped we were given an extra chair. We ordered a few set menus and the staff set up our meal while we nibbled on some delicous dumplings for entree. We should not have bothered as there was plenty of food in the set menu. As our first time here we were not sure of how it all worked but we could sit back while the staff laid the food out on the grill one meat course at a time. Like many restaurants in asia we had a button we could press for service which was great when ordering drinks or desserts. It was a great authentic experience, lovely icecream or sorbet desserts and international beers, all reasonably priced. The parking was easy during the week, the staff attentive and a great way to have a family meal. Vegetarians fairly well catered for and gluten free was fine as long as you didn't order marinated meats.

Wow.... what a great place! First time for us and we loved it. Such an experience. The food was delicious and the service we couldn't fault. Definitely come back here on our next trip to Melbourne????
