We had such an awesome time. Coming from the US, we met a Canadian friend there. She had never been, and it was my husbands first time. We were given champagne when we entered, and we asked for a view of the water. We had reservations, so we were seated almost immediately. The view was awesome! Our server, Kate H. was awesome. A few other people who helped to make our experience enjoyable were, Chelsea, the Night Manager, Lauren the Hostess, who took multiple pictures for us and even suggested champagne in the pictures (which made them even better). And Jill, we're unsure what Jill's position is, but we were heading into a wrong area and she kindly directed us to the right place. Later, she saw us and stopped by to see how everything was going. We were there for 3 hours, had every course and 2 desserts. Our first dessert took longer than expected, so they comped us a second one while we waited. Great experience and we'll be going back again. This review is our way of saying, Thank you!
Last night my friend I stopped over at Joey’s for dinner. Our server was Chase, he was incredible from the get-go, hospitality was on point his level of service was excellent. We ordered a starter, when it came out, there was something really wrong with the sauce which stunned us. Chase was really stunned himself but made sure we got a new plate double-checked by everyone before putting it down on our table again. On top of that, he got us two Bellinis on the house and was extremely professional about what had occurred. My friend I were impressed with how Chase handled the situation. He was professional, apologetic and super kind. The first impression was already great, he was friendly from the start but the fact that he went above and beyond for us made all the difference. Thank you to the management at Joey Shipyards especially Chase. He’s a superstar.
Great evening out on a beautiful patio with a magical view across the water. Our party of four ordered a number of dishes that were all beautifully presented and super tasty. The cauliflower wings an hummus were great. Our veggie burger and poke bowl deserve special mention as does the lava cake. Our server, Klara did a great job. She was attentive to our needs as one expects, but went the extra mile in terms of the detail she gave about each dish. Her input really helped with our choices and was spot on. What a lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and professional person. I will come back for the food, but will make a point of asking for this server again. Breath of fresh air!Vegetarian options: The menu has many plant based options (much more than most places) and our server pointed out a number of dishes where meat could be swapped for tofu to convert the dish to vegetarian.
Food was presented nicely, but that was where the wheels fell off! I had the chicken Parmigiano. The chicken was luke warm at best! There was more batter than chicken! The spaghetti was undercooked, and it needed more sauce. The sauce was the high light on the dish. Portion was small and definitely not worth $30.50! My wife had the Ravioli Bianco. This dish had little flavor and tiny shrimp. Again, $34.50 for this plate was very overpriced! We shared a Gyoza appetizer. There is nothing special except the $15.50 price. It's not any better than my favorite sushi restaurant at $8.50. Needless to say, I don't think that I will be back!No alcohol just a diet coke and a water, bill was over $100 with tip!
