After sending my daughter to the airport, I went to this market when I came back and had a bowl of hot soup. There was actually pear (water chestnut) in the soup. I loved it so much. It was a little surprise!
I remember coming here for hot soup on my lunch break when I was 16. I just picked up some freezer soup today and am so happy this place still exists many years later. Always consistent, super flavourful, and saves me from making dinner ? the tomato mushroom is a personal favorite but honestly all of them are so good. If you haven't been here yet you are missing out!! A hidden gem.
Unfortunately it's fallen down more than a step since Ralph passed. The biggest issue is that the stocks used in the soup are very thin, water and lacking a lot of seasoning. It's nice to see this place continue but really needs more care and effort.
This is my favorite soup shop since I moved to Canada. I finally come to get their broccoli chedder soup after the nephew take over the business. It was my favorite soup before the Meister passed away.I heat up it for dinner and taste it before serving my toddler. They added hot sauce in broccoli cheddar soup that I had never tasted before...It's not kids friendly soup like before...so sad.
We tried one of their frozen soups, Chili con carne, and we can’t wait to go back for more : The soup warmed well and tasted fresh, natural, beautifully spiced. The meat in it was plentiful and delicious. We are eager to try their selection of chowders, which were not available the day we were there. Will update when we do!
