Kibo Sushi House - North York

After over six years of enjoying Kibo Sushi, it's time to find a new local sushi place.1) An auto tip was added to our order. We double checked this by testing the software, and sure enough, a 15% tip was being added after clicking purchase. I hope this money makes it to the employees. EDIT: The restaurant contacted me and confirmed that this seems to be an isolated incident. They've promised a refund and as far as I'm concerned, this is resolved.2) We generally order the same thing. BC Special Roll and sushi/sashimi combo. Both had reduced portions. The BC Roll, by 50%! The Sushi/Sashimi combo by about 20%. This after a significant price hike about 5 months ago. EDIT: I'm told the combo is unchanged, but it felt reduced to me. It may be I was grumpy by this point and was seeing a reduction where there wasn't one.The portion reduction was indirectly acknowledged by the restaurant itself. Our order has always been an order for two and included two sets of chopsticks. Today one set... because this $45 meal was from their perspective, only enough food for one.EDIT: After further research, it seems that they've changed the menu. It may just mean that we'll have to re assess our Friday night Sushi routine.

Always a good choice for good filling dinner and wonderful sushi. We ordered Bulgogi and salmon Bento Boxes and dynamite sushi roll. Great meal!Pay in cash and you get a discount!

Great spot for takeout, the maki sushis are delicious! We got a platter and the presentation was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the spicy salmon and kamikaze rolls. Definitely recommend!

I visited this location today and ordered 2x Spicy Crab Roll. After taking the first bite, I was immediately put off by the foul taste/odor and realized that I was given crab that has gone bad. I called into the store and explained the issue to the clerk but she kept insisting that it was fresh and that there wasn't a foul taste/odor. There is literally no reason for me to lie. I offered to bring my roll in for her to taste it herself but again she insisted that it hasn't gone bad. I have crab sushi very often and I have never experienced this issue. It is quite unfair that my complaint was completely disregarded. I have sent an email to the head office and hope it can actually be resolved.
