Route 22 Chat N Chew - Northford

I mean, after reading Skylar P. 's vivid review, I just had to see what this place was all about! : On August 4th, my husband was on his way back from somewhere around lunch time and I knew he 'd be passing the Chat n Chew. I told him I would place an order over the phone and by the time he passes it, it should be ready for pick up. They have no website. Their FB page is rarely updated. I went off of the menu pictures posted by another Yelper over a year ago to try and figure out what to order. (So if you try it, go off of the photos I posted, they are currently up to date...I think... I call them up and start to order. A grilled cheese with fries. A Chicken Cheddar Bacon Ranch Wrap with fries. (which I was told by the person taking my order that she just had one for lunch herself and that it 's delicious. . Then I tried to order a third item for myself and this is where it goes downhill. Cranberry Nut Gorgonzola salad? Nope. I was told they didn 't have the ingredients. Alright. Eggplant Parm? No, they have no eggplant. I 'm sorry, you must be looking at an old menu. Oh ok, where can I see the most updated one? On our website, I think Um, you don 't have a website..just a Facebook page and a Yelp one So then she takes my number and proceeds to text me photos of their current menu from her personal phone. By now, my husband gets to the restaurant and ends up placing the rest of the order. I opted for a tuna wrap with fries as I was trying to avoid meat. All three items were just alright. Good grilled cheese, our son liked it. My tuna was boring and during one of the last few bites, I kid you not, it tasted like a rouge chocolate chip found it 's way in there. Or at least that 's what I 'm telling myself it was... Most likely won 't be back.

This place SUCKS don 't recommend this at all Reasons 1. THEY ALWAYS FORGET THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS like the main meal of your food 2 99% of the time you see them in the news papers and it is annoying to see a bad Business saying that there the best 3 I ate the 3 times and they always forget my order And the last time I was there the woman at the counter said she didn 't hear my friends mom order the bacon even though we did order it she took advantage of us because we were kids and she charged us 6 dollars Which was was crazy for 3 PIECES OF BACON PLEASE WHO EVERY IS READING THIS PLEASE TAKE YOUR Business somewhere else

I was driving by with my girlfriend and son and have seen this place many times. We finally decided to stop and try it. The menu looked great and we were going to get some chicken cutlet sandwiches. I got out of my car to go inside and order, I opened the first door, as I reached to for the handle of the second door I peered in and noticed 2 employees behind the counter. A normal thing to see on most days. However today was not a normal day. I had to take a second glance, and as I stared through the second door I noticed what seemed to be the male employee groping the female from behind. Both parties eyes closed in complete bliss behind the counter, as the man sucked on the woman's ear I thought to myself, well this is wrong for a restaurant... I had never seen anything like this... I stared for about 5 seconds trying to decipher my next step in this very odd twist I was thrown while trying to simply order a chicken cutlet sub. I had to act and the only logical thing to do was turn around and leave. As I walked to the car they noticed me but there was no coming back from what I had witnessed. Long story short I will not be giving the chat n chew my business ever. I figured the chew part of the name of the restaurant was for the food... but I think it actually stands for chewing on the female employees ear. 0 stars

Food was great staff was awesome would love to go there again fast service new staff and I love it this is place I would go w my family for breakfast and brunch
