Eating was fast to come and beautiful, the staff very friendly, the cost very reasonable and the distance for covid safety appreciated. although a reduced menu, it was very diverse and with many interesting gluten-free options (I will have to take mum there very soon! we had a nice evening and will definitely return.

I went in here with no expectation. Expected rubbish frozen pub-grub and microwave meals. I am very happy to confirm this was far from the case. The Sunday roasts looked fantastic. I went for the steak pie and it was stunning, really good. If you are near Delamere Forest for a day out I highly recommend it

Food was good and service quick. Wouldn't rush back for a special night out as the food wasn't spectacular, but definitely worth considering for a last minute meal out. By no means the fault of the pub but the evening was rather spoiled by a family with young kids behaving very raucously on a nearby table. Adults in the group clearly didn't care about anyone else in the room at all. Not reflected in my star rating as obviously not the fault of the pub

All the food we had at our table was really nice, hot and tasty except for the chunky chips, undercooked and hard. Staff were helpful and attentive but never once asked us was everything ok? As tasty as it was I can't see me going there again out of principal, because they charge for soda water which is usually free in the majority of establishments.
