The atmosphere was not as lively as I had hoped. Given the restaurant's high ratings, I expected a bustling pub filled with a vibrant crowd, but that wasn’t the case. The beautiful two-sided fireplace in the center of the main bar would have added a lovely touch on a cold winter's night, but instead, it was unused and filled with decorative items. With just a few small improvements to enhance the warmth of the space, I’m sure it could become a much more popular destination.

Our visit was a pleasure, the landwife was welcoming and I enjoyed my pint of well kept adnams ghost ship too late to lunch, but the safest will confirm that

The service was very friendly, and the food was great. However, the atmosphere in the pub felt a bit chilly since the fire wasn't lit during our visit.

Friendly service ,lovely meal....going back for carvery soon....,..... Sunday....we went back for the carvery . It was fantastic. We didn't go until 3pm , there was still plenty of the 3 meats, everything else was still hot the veg were perfectly cooked. We were just visiting for 2 weeks but my brother lives this way, so I expect we'll come again next week.
