Judoku Sushi Piedmont Ave - Oakland

The sushi rolls here are both delicious and enormous compared to what I'm used to. I've been here twice and haven’t been let down!

Excellent sushi with a wide variety of rolls to choose from. The service was quite good, and the patio in the back creates a lovely atmosphere.

The fish here is incredibly fresh and of high quality. You can really tell just how popular it is when you try to order on a Friday or Saturday night and face a waiting time of an hour. This sushi spot is truly a hidden gem in the area. The rolls are exceptionally large and definitely worth the price. You really only need one item priced at $14 or more, along with maybe a small classic roll, miso soup, or a salad. I always find that when I order two, I end up having to share!

The outdoor patio has a wonderful atmosphere, and I really enjoyed my time there. The bento box I ordered was outstanding. The sushi rolls were a mixed bag—some I loved, while others were just okay—but that's to be expected since everyone has different tastes. The rest of my group really enjoyed the rolls they tried. Overall, I recommend this restaurant. Just keep in mind that parking can be a bit unpredictable.
