That was a great date night! It was our first time, but it exceeded all expectations. The hostess was very friendly and sat us where the server was excellent, she said. Our server was Kolby and she didn't disappoint. She kept our drinks filled and was very attentive to us all the time. She also gave us her honest opinion about the selection of food when we asked. The sign outside says Christmas in July will get a $30 extra gift card when you buy a $100 card. We said we wait and see how the food was before we buy it, but we bought the gift cards because the food was amazing! The alcoholic drinks were also very delicious. We can't wait to go back!
The food is delicious! There are different plates with New Orleans sauson. You can choose pasta or rice when ordering jambalaya. It's faster costume service. The restaurant is beautiful!
Harry 's.....Cajun kick with a refined retro twist. We 've been in the Harry 's habit for many years. Always at the Lakeland location. Birthday parties, anniversaries, holidays, etc. Oh, and just regular eating days, too! LOL So, it made sense to hit Harry 's of Ocala for Mother 's Day! Even though my Fav Fab One isn 't my mother, she is mom to two beautiful daughters. It was fun treating her to another meal in her honor. It was Just the Two of Us, like Bill Withers used to sing. We arrived early, first ones at the door with a few others, waiting to feast at noon. Sitting in a very cozy booth near a window, our Harry 's wishes would be granted by the very capable 'Nina ', or Janina. She proved to be the perfect skipper for this seafood sojourn. Let the festivities begin! First up, I ordered a cup of the She Crab Soup. I 'm here to say that was THE BEST version of this delectable soup that I 've ever supped! Deeeeee-licious! Next, we both shared a heaping helping of Harry 's terrific Fried Green Tomatoes. Absolutely perfect. The crunchy cornflake crust complimenting the tomatoes with the help of a drizzled Chipotle aioli and Feta cheese. Dang! Now here comes our entrees. You cannot go to New Orleans without digging into some Jambalaya. And likewise, I cannot go to Harry 's without jumping into some. That is precisely what I ordered. Fab One got the aptly named French Market Pasta. My Jambalaya was Ça c’est bon, as usual! Sweet AND spicy with that wonderful ocean catch aroma. And they give you a HUGE portion as my photo will attest. Fab One 's pasta dish was a zesty Zydeco of shrimp, chicken, spinach bacon swimming in a creamy pool of parmesan and basil. I 'll wrap up by saying this Harry 's in Horse Country finished in First place all the way around! A Triple Crown win!
Never been letdown here. Foods always GREAT. My servers always great especially Bishr. He really knows how to recommend entrees and serve a table like a professional. Will definitely be back!!
