Thank you to Rudi for his attentive service. Tourists are low and I just wish there are more people. Please visit the Tree House.
This is perhaps the best restaurant for 100 miles. A wonderful meal our service by Juan Carlos was especially great! He was an excellent server that has a thorough knowledge of the menu and was able to answer all my questions about food without hesitation. If you're hungry, you can't really miss Tree House. Great presentation and delicious flavors!
I think these meals were the best we had in Peru! Finding the place was really tricky and our GPS couldn't do it. It is halfway (or down, depending on where you come) a long staircase. We finally got instructions from someone on the main square through the Virgin del Carmen Church. We were there on a weekday and it was calm, that was a relief after some of the masses we had to deal with. The Alpaca carpaccio was spectacular. I enjoyed a Gin Fizz while my spouse had a classic Pisco Sour. The fish (Trucha, a local trout that tastes like salmon) was perfectly cooked and the gnocchi de papas were very tasteful. I loved my mousse de lucuma con chocolate for dessert. The Chicha acid was interesting, but on the sweet side- remembers sweet red wine. Our waiter Juan Carlos was friendly and we could talk to him English instead of my terrible Spanish. A fantastic evening experience.
I had the crispy suckling pig with pear and quince purée. The different tastes went well together and the meat was perfectly cooked. For dessert, I chose lúcuma crisp. Absolutely delightful. Prices were good. Service was excellent. Setting was charming. If you are in Aguas Calientes, you will definitely want to check out this restaurant!
Juan Carlos looked after us with excellent service and delicious food very well! Chill vibe! Very recommended!
