Famous Dave's B-que - Olympia

I made a reservation via Open Table while the restaurant was closed. I wish I had confirmed it later with a phone call because when I arrived at the restaurant I was informed that their equipment was down and would not be able to find my reservation. Annoying, but not ridiculous. It got worse when staff had nothing to say about rectifying the problem and we were put in line for a table. Turn over was extremely slow and less than half the dining room was being used. We were seated just after an hour and was told that the kitchen was over an hour behind on orders. In order to keep our schedule we were forced to leave. I assume it was a staffing issue because it did not seem like a busy place. All the staff I interacted with were courteous and professional. If I come back, will try at an earlier time, hopefully when it's less busy and will be sure to call in for a reservation.

I ordered a 3 meat combo for pickup at 6:45. Unfortunately, the food was not ready until 7:30. I chose curbside pickup, but they did not bring the order out to me. Furthermore, they forgot to include any BBQ sauce with my order. I was very disappointed with the portion size I received for $29, as it was the smallest amount of food I have ever received. The burnt end pieces had a lot of fat and very little meat. I plan to contact corporate tomorrow to request a refund.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, long before the remodel. I was excited to try some BBQ, but unfortunately, tonight's experience was a major disappointment. My girlfriend and I shared the feast for 2 with a side of Mac and cheese. The $4 we paid for 3 bites of cold Mac and cheese set the tone for the rest of the meal. The rest of our food was also cold, as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. The brisket was chewy and flavorless, and the chopped pork reminded me of dog food. The only decent dish was the baked beans, but they were also cold. Our server was friendly but not very attentive, only checking on us once before giving us the check. The final price of $88 was way too high for the low quality and small portions of food we received. My girlfriend, who had been looking forward to dining here, left feeling disappointed and sad. I hope that this review is taken into consideration and that improvements are made before this location closes for good.

Great service. super attentive. the restaurant was approx. 50%. we have our drinks fast and stayed full throughout the whole meal. 15-20 min after our order. that was great for our family, allow us to visit without our mouthful full of good bbq. my only real complaining was that there was no butter for the mais or maisbrot, but both were pretty good without him.

They were short staff and busy, but when we finally got our meals, they were amazing. put them out into our waitress rebecca!
