The only thing that was a minor inconvenience was the location of parking for the water park, the parking lot is a little farther than need be, there was a shuttle, but parking should be closer in my opinion. The property is quite expansive and the other pools weren't very well marked, and we went to one for a little while (the other one with a water slide) until a security guard came and said this pool was suppose to be closed and he turned off the pump for the slide and splash area. The main water park was heated, had a nice area for the little kids, lazy river, and larger water slide for older kids, plus little games on the pool deck and a sand area for building castles. No outside food or drinks were allowed, which we also think was ridiculous because kids are picky, but I understand they want to make money, kids enjoyed getting ice cream from the bar area, and the water park closed at 5, a little early for us but guess those are winter hours. Our unit was large and well equipped with everything we needed for making meals and washing clothes, the beds were a little hard for my liking. There was a small playground right outside our building. Overall we would return just know you have to walk to the water park, take the shuttle, or walk just as far from the parking lot.
I love this place and would recommend anyone seeking a nice comfortable place with clean beds. I originally booked with Top Villas but they treated me horrible and the home was horrific, dirty and a disappointment. I was too embarrassed to take my guest in the house at Championgates and I had to find some place quick so I gave Reunion Resorts a call and they were fast, friendly and eager to accommodate.
Quite literally the worst experience I have ever had traveling.....and I travel a lot! The Management Company Florida Vacation Homes Reunion and the Rental Agency Top Villas were both a nightmare, each one pointed the finger at the other when it came to issues. I planned a fun vacation for my 18 year old daughter and her friends. One of the many reasons I chose this place was the convenience of having the shuttle service from the resort to Disney. Prior to my arrival, I asked numerous times how to schedule the shuttle. Nobody responded and when we arrived, we were told the shuttle was sold out. Now I have to drive the girls to Disney to/from which was not my plan. When we arrived at 4:30 p.m., the remote code did not open the door. I called Top Villas only I had at that time they didn't answer. Sticker on the door had management Co. . When I called, I was told it would be 24 hours before they could guarantee someone would change the code and that we would have to call in each time to be remotely opened by them. This was absurd! With a lot of persistence and 3 hours gone by, this was finally fixed at 7:30 p.m. Other issue: The refrigerator leaked from the bottom so we had to keep paper towels on the floor One toilet had to be manually flushed by lifting the tank lid. Patio Fan was extremely loud as if the motor was shot and barely hanging onto the ceiling, so it was unsafe to have on. We were there in June 2021 and it was hot Missing drain stop in Master bath sink be careful with jewelry , and the other sink would not drain. In the entire 3 bedroom 3 bath we had 5 bath towels, 4 hand towels, 2 wash cloths. Not even enough for each of us before doing laundry Only toilet paper was already half used rolls. No paper towels. could of used those for the leaking refrigerator No maps or service books of numbers. We had to call security two different nights We waited until 1 a.m. before calling b/c the balcony one over thought it was ok to shout and have explicit talk lasting until 4 am. Security was not successful at stopping it. Second day the police were called. We were never given pool access cards. Did I mention it was hot!? I went in person to the management companies office to notify them of everything I just listed here, and they did NOTHING to help. Makes me wonder if the owner knows how they are mistreating their property and guests. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!
Honestly we're overall very disappointed with the dining experience. We're staying at Reunion on vacation so decided to go here for our Thanksgiving dinner and had a reservation at 6:30pm, and they started taking food off the buffet line at 6:45pm, and they had already run out of quite a few items by then. The food was dried out and not restocked. They only had one dessert left, the soup was gone and the food you could tell had been sitting out awhile. We felt like we were inconveniencing them and we were being rushed. For the price we paid for 4 of us we were very disappointed! Next year they should not allow reservations at 6:30pm if they remove food so shortly after.
While staying at the Reunion Resort I decided to check out some of the on property restaurants available. I'm glad I decided to give this one a try! I was greeted and seated by Donnavan. He proved to be reliable in his food and drink suggestions. I had the special of the day, the Mediterranean salad in a grilled pita and the Starburst cocktail. Both. Were. Amazing. I was very happy with my food and drink. The cocktail was one of the best mixed drinks I've ever had. Incredibly flavorful yet surprisingly refreshing (and ig friendly!! ? . The restaurant was also clean and had a nice ambience. It's bright and seems great for family dining. I'll be back.
