They offer a good selection of local wines. The service was quick and the staff was friendly, making for a wonderful evening.
I was invited by friends to attend Kate's Melbourne Cup luncheon and happily accepted, as my wife was having lunch with her friends. Kate asked if we minded another woman joining our table, as her friend had been trapped by flood-waters. It turned out to be an old friend of ours. The lunch was delicious as always, with a choice of chicken or fish followed by garlic bread and lemon cheese tarts. Kate's mother, Yvonne, organized sweeps for us and helped out at the tables. She even joined our group once things slowed down. It was another great day, thanks mainly to Kate and Yvonne.
I reserved this cafe for a private event with over 50 guests. The food was terrible - the smallest quiche as an appetizer served on a napkin, dry chicken wrapped in prosciutto, undercooked hassleback potatoes, wilted spinach leaves, and even popcorn (seriously?). The dessert was a cheesecake filled with so much gelatin that it was bouncy. The meal was expensive, inedible, and the service was slow. I will not be returning.
On a recent visit to Orange, we were recommended by a friend to visit this cafe for a light lunch. We had coffee and toasted sandwiches and were very happy with the food and the service. It is a nice quiet spot for a relaxing lunch.
We came for breakfast on a Tues morning; our 2nd visit. Wonderful food and service as like last time. We had halloumi, avo and poached eggs stack and wrap with hash brown, egg and bacon. Both delicious and generous. Coffee is great. I had chai, chocolate and chili interesting drink, nice. We love this place for breakfast away from the main drag, full of locals who would know, of course, the best places.
