Contribuer aux commentairesWe booked for dinner at around 8.15pm and they put us on the highest terrace. Amazing view. Excellent food. Nice waiter. Precious Camilla mascot. The only flaw that evening was a strong wind and therefore the dishes quickly became cold. But obviously it's not something you can command. Congratulations to all Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40
My partner and I find the restaurant by chance and on the menu at the entrance we see artichokes with other tempting typical dishes, we immediately book a table for two at 8.30pm. We arrive early and sit on the first outdoor terrace, the restaurant was practically full (two terraces, about 50 seats . Giovanni served us initially, a pleasant and easy-going gentleman. Artichokes were not mentioned in the menu inside. They bring us the wine and the girl serving throws the wine glasses on the table, we ask what grape it is and how much the bottle costs, she had to ask Giovanni. After the appetizer, the first course follows, delicious dishes, full of simplicity and quality. We begin to not understand why the girl leaves us the starter cutlery, even though we had left them on the plate, and we continually hear that she calls Giovanni for help with everything. We explicitly ask to change cutlery, she continues to throw things on the table and asks Giovanni for help with everything. After the second course we have to finish the wine and we feel like we want to drink an espresso, Giovanni informs us that he has finished the coffee, and we ask ourselves, how can a restaurant in Italy run out of coffee? We accept and go down to pay, informing Giovanni that he wants to give negative feedback on the girl's service, he tries to explain the lack of staff to us but we want to give constructive criticism. We go down and find the manager's son at the register (clearly a minor and ask for the manager/owner who was in the kitchen. I inform her about the terrible service but the excellent food, she immediately asks for the table number (do we need to know? I tell her I don't know, we find it and she takes away the bottle of wine without asking anything, I explain that I don't want a refund but to talk about the my criticisms and explain the reason, I also explain that Giovanni's service was excellent but the girl was terrible and ruins the environment. She doesn't hear us, she accuses me of being from Bari (I'm Swiss and that the reviews are all positive, including the service, (90% of the customers were tourists, how could they talk to her about it, but during dinner several speaking customers Italians looked at us begging for mercy . He dismisses us badly, my partner compliments the cuisine while always criticizing the service, we leave disappointed.
The food was really not tasty. The tartare was very finely ground and therefore somewhat mealy/tasteless. The smoked burrata was very hard on the outside, but tasty. Main course was cold and also tasteless. Lots of sticks hidden in the 'roulade '. Not recommended. I would definitely skip it. You can eat so much better food for less money. First, hats off to Mohammed and Giovanni for outstanding service. It's not easy serving up many flights of stairs to the awesome terraces of this restaurant. But from patience and guidance in our selections to an outstanding 3 course meal they delivered the goods: opener of fava beans (a little bland), ravioli with meat ragu and a cool note of cinnamon, and a crusted tuna secundi, a bottle of a local wine, and Giovanni s choice of a semi-frido chocolate dessert. All for $82 Euro. Molto Bene!
Awesome terrace but also nice indoor spots. Stuffed eggplant was awesome! Great wine as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
