The Keg Steakhouse Ottawa Market

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. Our service was done by Kaylea. Although she was very busy, she was very pleasant and helpful specially when I had to return my steak because it was under cooked to my taste. She took the steak back to the kitchen no problem and came back with a little better cooked steak with a brand new potato and veggies! The shrimps cocktail was very nice. Overall good food and good service. Perhaps the prices are a little higher but eating out these days is more then it used to be. Perfect location, right in the downtown market where is the Rideau mall, shops and restaurants.

Decided to go to Ottawa for dinner instead of going to downtown Montreal where there's NO CARS ALLOWED and no parking Ottawa knows how to treat people coming into the city and also want to add that they offer free parking after 5:30 not like Montreal where they want To charge you until 11:00 Now for the restaurant ? the staff were super friendly and happy to serve you ? We were seated at the bar area and enjoyed some drinks while we waited for our table we didn't wait long at all ? The food was delicious and the service was excellent ? highly recommend the drive to Ottawa Looking forward to returning to the Keg ?

The rib on the bone 20oz is from the grille. Intense taste. If you are from Europe order one level less cooked in Canada than Europe.The classic rib steak 18% was a juicy slow cooked slice of rib steak from a whole piece.To sit outside was really nice and we enjoyed that summer eve.We missed the black pepper and big grain salt mill which give a special taste to meat we are used to have in Europe, but this was missing almost in every restaurant in Canada so far.

We were in Ottawa to see family belatedly celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday, which was noted and acknowledged by the patio and inside podium hostesses. Madison was a great server and we truly enjoyed our meals! My husband’s filet was cooked to perfection as was my steak, and as always, the wine, sides and bread were amazing! Our only (minor) disappointment was that my husband’s birthday went unacknowledged at the table. We ordered a cheesecake for dessert anyway and it was also the Best!

It’s always our family tradition to celebrate at the Keg. The Keg on York is a flagship which usually receives perfect food and service. We enjoyed our anniversary celebration dinner. A couple bottle wines with a few favorite dishes and endless laughs!
