Lire plus Gurkha Village is a well-established restaurant located very close to Oxford. The staff is respectful and attentive to customers' needs, and the service time is excellent. Although the food may not be traditionally Nepali, as it includes more than just the typical Dhal, Bhat, and Takari, the meals are generally very good with generous portions. Most of the dishes were of good quality, except for the Nan bread. It would be nice to see some new menu options and daily specials added to enhance the dining experience. Overall, Gurkha Village is a standout Indian restaurant in the Oxford area that is definitely worth a visit. Thank you.

There seems to be a push to more authentic Nepali dishes whereas of course you can get standard Indian fare nearly everywhere. This is certainly the best of the 3 Nepali restaurants in Oxford, service is pretty good but could do with a little improvement in after dinner attention. Best is the layout which is really great with patio doors leading out on to a quiet veranda.
