Sadly, when we went there this Friday (the place is under new management), we had an awful experience the cafe was empty but for 1 other table, the waiter was rude to us eventually saying to my friend its table service, sit down and be patient (quote). Obviously we left, and as we were walking out he said oh good, well that actually makes my life easier . So disappointing, as the RSC is otherwise such a great spot! I really hope this new management can up their game. Meantime we went to Saltys Diner up the road in Paraparaumu live music, great service, super friendly staff, nothing was a problem definitely recommend!
Have been there a few times during my lunch break, includes yesterday. Previously had 2 experiences where they had forgotten my order. And only cabinet food order. Got a refund for one and the other was rushed out. Sadly same thing happened yesterday with me walking out after 25 minutes with no food. Didn't ask for a refund but won't be going back. They weren't even busy each time.
Coffee is great and this is a lovely restaurant. Now don't get upset people but the baked goods could do with more variety like some blueberry muffins or date scones as I go in there a lot and they don't seem to have much variety of cabinet food.
Went on my birthday for $10 burger night. Couldn't have asked for better food and service. 5 very happy customers and will be back again for sure.
This Mōrena I visited The Raumati Social Club for breakfast. Scrumptious kai, great kāwhe, delicious smoothie. The atmosphere was pleasant, plenty of ka pai places to sit, inside or out. Service was excellent, very welcoming and polite, and served promptly. Well frequented by locals, having their mōrena kāwhe and a read of the mōrena paper. Great menu for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. We'll worth the visit.
