You can do grocery shopping and then eat at the restaurant when you're done they're in the same building next to each other. It's not that big, which is a good thing just what you need. The Indian food's really great nice, big portions to get you through the day with plenty of sides. They tell you what's vegan and what isn't but it's really difficult to know as they're not labeled and everything looks the same. So I have to ask many times.
They’ve got it all and it’s all vegetarian. Really happy to discover Namaste Spiceland.
For less than $10 you can get an excellent vegan/vegetarian meal at Namaste Spiceland! You can even get a smaller meal for less than $6. There are so many options for vegans and vegetarians alike. The samosas are excellent, the staff is friendly and there is outdoor seatng during business hours. They also have a small grocery store, frozen foods section and small produce section. Check this place out if you are in Pasadena as it is worth the time and excellent Indian food!
Person at the counter wasn’t very knowledgeable at what was vegan and kept telling me items were vegan that I knew weren’t, and when questioned they would ask who seemed to be owner or manager and they would tell them no it’s not vegan. With that, maybe the person was new, so just be diligent and ask. I got samosas, garlic naan and a cashew dessert. Food was great, however I felt terribly sick all day after eating it. Not sure what was going on, but based off of that I most likely will not be returning. The store was nice though. Make your own decision, but be cautious.
A $13 meal filled me up more than a typical $15-20. All except one item in the buffet was vegan. Everything had a lot more taste than I expected.
