Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican - Payson

Hello everyone. The food here is fantastic, but the service definitely needs improvement. We waited almost 30 minutes in the drive-thru, and there were only 2-3 customers inside the restaurant. What's going on? Are the owners just not paying attention? Come on, management! It might be worth considering offering better wages to your staff. With competitors like Costa Vida nearby, it’s time to raise the stakes. The food is great, so make sure your customers can enjoy it without having to wait in line with empty stomachs.

When we went to place our orders, the same employee who had shown annoyance earlier told us, “We’re out of that,” for nearly everything we tried to order. To make matters worse, he even mocked us as we were leaving. The customer service was dreadful. I rated the food one star because they had none available and clearly showed no interest in serving us. I strongly advise against visiting this location after 10 PM. *Update: We eventually went to the University Avenue location in Provo and had a completely different experience, which was fantastic. It’s definitely worth the drive if you're deciding between locations.*

I’ve never had my order done correctly here, and I just don’t understand how they consistently manage to get it wrong. By the time I get home and realize there’s an issue, I’m not about to drive back for subpar food to be fixed. It’s really frustrating—please hire more competent staff!

Unless you go in and babysit them while they make your order, don’t plan on it being correct. This location can not get an online order or even drive thru order right, ever. Just get Costa Vida. You’ll be much happier.

I recently came to this location for dinner, I was hungry, and waited 5+minutes for any kind of service! I had 3+ employees make eye contact with me and then turn away and go back to whatever it was they were doing! Very poor customer service! Seems like they'd rather you use the drive thru and not have to serve you in person! I walked out and went to Costa Vida! Much better service and atmosphere!
