Good people who ran a great business with incredible food. I hope they find ground again soon, because I am a huge fan of their culinary vision. Ugh, screw you 2020.
One of the best restaurants on the South Shore. Took my mom to dinner here in March 2019 it exceeded my expectations. Started with oysters from a few different locations. So fresh delicious. Shared a salad the calamari with mango. Both were excellent. My mom had the bolognese and I had pasta with a pesto cream sauce several large shrimp. Homemade pasta was fantastic. We had dessert, but I forget exactly what we had. I'm excited to go back try other dishes.
So this place is exactly what I wanted for an post work treat. Listen, I'm here for the food so the food is what I'm focusing on. Ordered a cran-Apple sangria that was delicious and had me feeling good before my app came out. My app was scallops and bacon, and can I say that this appetizer was perfect. The scallops melted like butter in my mouth and the bacon was... Bacon only extra delicious with the sauce beneath. My entree, steak frites, came to my table with ohs and ahs because it was loveliness on a plate and needed to be admired by the masses. Medium rare, it was seasoned perfectly and tasted like heaven. Fries were crisped nicely and the Parmesan added the right amount of flavor. I was full and a little broke $47 for my meal without tax), but I felt it was delicious and worth the price to me. I went in anticipating spending that much as I was planning on splurging. Service wise, I thought my waitress was attentive and pleasant enough. Food came out quick and she didn't hover. Again, I'm here for the food
Early 2015 we stopped by here on our way back from Cape Cod during a BLIZZARD! Being from Socal, I don't know what winter really is...I didn't think that winter in the east coast was any different from their past. Boy was I wrong. Thank goodness, God made sure I was safe and sound. : I also learned that BMW's are really the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE. I don't think we would have it made it out without it. Long story short, we got hungry on our way back and stopped by Pembroke. We had some oysters, Ommegang beer on tap, pasta and steak. All was really good and I was pleasantly surprised and lucky to find such a pretty little restaurant with great food in such a small town. One note is that I got that slight uncomfortable feeling when I was there. I did notice that we were the only Asians and I don't want to say it was that...but perhaps we are a rarity in this town. Or I'm just so dang BEAUTIFUL! haha Either way, I normally don't get uncomfortable and being from LA I never feel that way...it's very very rare...rare...
After a chilly day of golf came here for a very nice dinner. All on Yelp gave this place a great review and with good reason. I called ahead to inquire if there was a dress code. They said no come on in. Is located in a small strip mall with adequate parking. We sat at the bar and the server was Friendly and attentive. The menu was well rounded with lots of small plates and plenty of good entrees. They also had a happy hour Oyster that was very good. We had the calamari-great-the halibut and a salad. The fish serving was very generous and well prepared . Wish we were locals because this could be our local go to place.
