I went to this restaurant in the morning for breakfast and had the traditional breakfast. The price was good and the food was delicious. The service was also very friendly. It's important to note that the restaurant opens at 6:00 AM, while the convenience store is open 24 hours.
This truck stop is the ideal spot for a quick bite. The service is fast and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the desserts are amazing. If you're on the highway, make sure to make a pit stop here.
We had to meet someone and that was the central point between our two locations. it is only north of hwy 17, as there is a truck stop there is a lot parking space. the restaurant is a business. we met around midday and after, and I noticed that the place was about half full. when trying to decide between two menu options, I asked our waitress after entering...but received none. my partner went with the traditional breakfast $7.99) and it was their standard bacon and egg with the riders they enjoyed. I went with the lasagna $13.99) and added my garlic bread $1.09 cheese. the lasagne was quite bland and I guess only a part of a great frozen lasagne that they buy elsewhere. the garlic bread with cheese was two decent pieces and tasted very good. I guess I've always heard that truck-stops had the best to eat, what the truckers came back, but here it was just okay. if I went back, I would try some other options and maybe be more impressed.
We were staying at the Holiday Inn just across the road and could not decide where to eat. The Big Stop diner had good reviews and rightly so. When we arrived it was almost full of happy diners. We were greeted warmly, given water...and menus. Our order arrived quite quickly considering how busy it was). One strip steak fries and an all day full breakfast later we'd eaten so well that the tempting deserts had to be passed by. I would whole heartedly recommend this diner to anyone who wants good value, generous plates.
