The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the service is grreat. It is one of our favourite places for family dinners. Excellent place.
This restaurant is in a converted cottage, so has a very homely atmosphere with friendly staff. It has an extensive menu, with very realistic prices. Although licensed, it also lets you BYO bottled wine. The meals are of a very consistant quality, and I have been t this restaurant many times over the years. Always a pleasant meal and a good time. Great for both small and large groups.
We to the Penshurst Cottage tonight and had some really nice garlic bread. The entree was cold had to be returned. Had to ask twice for a drink to be served. Asked for some dinner plates to share a meal and they brought bread and butter plates. I was surprised we were not offered water when we sat down, but when I started my chilli seafood dish I asked for water and again waited 5mins before reminding them again. The seafood dish was very ordinary. The prawn was over cooked, the calamari was tasteless and the crab had very little meat on it. We were extremely disappointed.
Set in an old converted cottage (hence the name) well presented, clean and tidy. Great menu with a board spread of foods. We went with a big group but also interment enough for private dinning. BYO wine was also great as I always like my own selection. Service was efficient and friendly. An awesome experience Thank You
