Steak N Shake - Peoria

Now, we saw the huge signs and flags, fly in the wind today. we parked the car, but when we went inside, the doors were locked and the workers were sitting at the bar that was in front of the restaurant. they only looked at us as if we were crazy and wanted to open the doors! So if they can't open the dining room again, they should probably take the big signs down and say that the dining room is open. that's creepy, streak n shake. I would give 0 stars if that were an option.

It was very different than the last time I went (pre-pandemic). The menu is much smaller, you order and pay at the counter and they call your number like a fast food restaurant. They don't have the menu hung on the walls, they just have a single copy out on the counter.

Will never ever go here again. Stood there waiting to order for 15 minutes for food. Then when asked for condiments it was thrown on our tray as was another person's. When I asked for a small box the fella threw it at me. When another woman asked for ketchup he threw it on her tray. Then we had to sit and listen to the cook and others fight in the back.

Steak n shake dine in finally opened. But not really. No wait staff ! Might as well been at McDonald's. Order at counter. Wait for food to come up. Then go up and get it. Chilli was cold the fries were cold. Not even close to what I would normally expect eating in the dining area . This could be the end of my steak n shake dining. If this is the new normal then steak n shake is on its way to closing for good. Step it up !!

JEEZ LOUIS!!!! i ordered 8 burgers, they all came out within 20 minutes of paying and it felt like 5 minutes because i was playing with the arcade machines out front (i won a bouncy ball). unfortunately i didn't win anything. i only ordered 1 shake. however it only took about 5 minutes. the staff was very friendly even though have no social skills they made feel at home. the food was fresh and left a pleasant taste in my mouth, the bun of my burger was like the soft squishy clouds floating on this beautiful earth. all in all i had an absolutely terrible experience. all in all i will not be back and all in all you will not take anymore of my money. all in all i want my money from the arcade machine.!!!
