We had our first meal in Perth in this lovely Woo Jeong restaurant, run by Sunny Seong Klm. The eating place is a bit like a little school canteen small, with a very simple layout, a few tables (clients mostly the oriental), and the...kitchen is very close by. There is a telly (playing a Korean channel) with Korean news. The owner doesn't speak a lot of English. Her cooking was superb. On arrival, all customers in each table were given a jar of cold water from the fridge. It's a very lovely gesture. As an experienced oriental food enthusiast, I can say that this is the best home Korean Japanese cooking I've ever tried. The food was served piping hot. We had sushi, seafood udon, teriyaki chicken, and Korean pancake. All were outstanding in taste, colour and texture. It just felt like home.
The restaurant itself is not aesthetically appealing, but the eating and service are amazing! (and very reasonable) my nabenby and I traveled through asia and find this place to be very authentic. can recommend bipnbap and also bef bulgogi with rice. The...kimchi pancake is also delicious. I'm looking forward to the return. they know that a Korean place is good when most of the clientele are Korean.
This is a cozy little eating with authentic Korean food! the staff is friendly and eating is good. our waitress was super generous with the ban chan (side dishes) and we loved our kim chi pfannkuchen, bi bi bim bap and kim chi jigae. The...prices are really reasonable and byo is $2 pp!
Psst heard about this little unknown? Korean/Japanese cuisine. so authentic made with love from Korea! must try!
It is a real Korean restaurant in perth in any case. but the taste could already be adapted for local Australian taste. still very good.
