I had a wild boar stew with spinach and a lovely crusty bread almost like a girddle scone in Scotland. Although the meat was beautifully tender cooked in sauce with tomato and olives in many ways the bread was the star of the plate . A lovely flavour with a crisp outer and a succulent inner just perfect for scooping up the lovely sauce. My wife had meat balls which were very good. My wife had a creme caramel for dessert and I had a beautiful creamy custardwith crisp sponge fingers. The flavour was excellent without being unduly sweet. Two glasses of different local wines and a pleasant coffee completed the meal. The staff were chsr6and extremely helpful and very forgiving if my appalling attempts at Italian.
Super friendly, seems like a local spot and no English menu. Waitress great at exploring vegan options, and asked chef to prepare a dish of grilled vegies. Nice touches like bringing us a few complimentary tasters/starters--fava beans, bruschetta, and cherries at the end. Food was good, would recommend.
We had delicious homemade pasta. Delicious wine. Fantastic ambiance. Stick with recommendations. It was a lovely meal.
My wife and I were in Perugia last month and we had dinner at altromondo on our first night there. We enjoyed it so much that we reserved our dinner there for the next day. The food was amazing from antipasto to dessert, the ambience was perfect (away from the bussy touristic area) and Anna and her staff were very friendly and always ready to accommodate you. We vist Italy a lot and always searching for good and genuine food. This restaurant turned out to be one of the best we visted. If you are planning to visit Perugia, this restaurant is a must (reservation raccomended) DA VERO UN ALTRO MONDO
