Alec's Ice Cream - Petaluma

Extremely pleasantly surprised by the salted caramel latte ice cream! Found it on sale at my local grocery store with no expectations and it was absolutely delicious! Will be trying more flavors soon.

Alec's team dropped by Furthermore wines while we were there for a tasting and we had a chance to try their Salted Caramel Latte ice cream. It is amazing. By far my favorite coffee flavored ice cream I've ever had. We will definitely be picking some up again soon.

Why should you trust my glowing review of Alec’s Ice Cream? Because I expected to hate it! Lavender? Say whaaat?! Sure, I’m into lavender; when it’s mixed with epsom salt in my bath tub. I am also old enough to remember the opening of Baskin-Robbins in Cedarhurst, LI. Rocky Road stole my heart! So … reluctantly, I tasted Alec’s Honey Blueberry Lavender. OMG! My heart has now officially cheated on Rocky Road! There is a major competitor whose name I will not mention (it rhymes with Pennies. Here are side by side photos of the competitor’s Wildberry Lavender and a pint of Alec’s Lavender WINNER! One looks like a purple smoothie, while Alec’s has ribbons of honey and generous chunks of delicious blueberries that haven’t been smushed! To be continued, y’all!

No kidding, I read about this company in the WSJ, and thought, ehh, I’ll give it a try. I bought a sampler pack, and it really is some pretty darn good ice cream. I find the salted caramel latte, and the blueberry lavender to be my favorite two. My gf likes the double chocolate chip and mint chocolate chip the best. It’s more expensive than regular ice cream, but I find it to be worth the cost. I wish it was in a store near me, so I didn’t have to order it and wait for it. It ships pretty well also, did not melt, and I am about to place my first repeat order!

Well, I had an incident where I placed an order for Ice Cream and it wasn't shipped out after a week due to an internal error in their system. So I then sent an e-mail explaining my situation. Alec kept in close contact with me after that and quickly got my order shipped. Great customer service, and their Lavender Ice Cream is unbelievably good. I was impressed
