Bamboo Restaurant - Peterborough

Don't do it! Used to be a great buffet spot but has gone downhill way downhillThe buffet looks dried out and picked over very sparse.

I ordered take out for my family and I here in peterboroughIt was very good for a quick fix as we were too lazy to cook.

My husband and I usually get take out and it's always ready in a good amount of time! We never have to wait once we get there and the combos are a great deal! We love the lemon chicken dish! The other dishes are average nothing special. Same options as any Chinese restaurant and same flavours! We continue to order here since it's a good value for their combos!

I have never had chicken fried rice that was not fresh very very salty and did not even taste like chicken fried rice.The eggs rolls looked like they were deep fried and well done. It was terrible as it was delivered as a gift at prime time, should be fresh

I hadn't had their food for QUITE some time and SO enjoyed (for 3 days) all the food I recently purchased for take out. Ended up getting mushroom fried rice (my FAVE), moo goo gai pan, mixed vegetables lo mein and 2 egg rolls. The entire bill was under $27 and, as I said, it lasted me for 3 days. I did eat 1 other meal each day aside from the Chinese food but, I am a big eater. At this price, it was not only very economical but also extremely tasty!They always put exactly the number of fortune cookies/soy sauce/plum sauce I ask for and, each Xmas they always give me a free, gorgeous bamboo calendar. Whenever my Mom orders her usual lemon chicken dinner to either be delivered or she picks it up, they always substitute the chicken fried rice with beef fried that she prefers. They never have a problem with that minor substitution, whereas other restaurants would be adamant about not substituting anything from their dinner Special menu.I love this place. One of the best restaurants in ALL of Peterborough. I've been enjoying their food for decades and undoubtedly will continue until I cease to exist, or they do, whichever comes first. I also will be purchasing the same, large order for take out on a much more regular basis. Far more economical and healthier than fast food joints.
