Contribuer aux commentairesFich at Petersham is a restaurant that would not be out of place at the Sydney Fish Markets in Pyrmont except it has better parking, less crowds and you don’t have to actively avoid puddles of murky water to get a seafood fix. Headed by two chefs with Bennelong pedigree, the menu is a great mix of casual fish and chip fare along with some offerings that show off the chefs’ fine dining origins.
Set amongst the Portuguese chicken shops of Petersham, you’ll find this fish and chip shop offering takeaway as well as a refined dine-in restaurant experience. The regular fish and chips I had to go was fabulously fresh. Great food, great service.
Exceptional fish burger and potato scallops to die for! One of the best places in Sydney for seafood in the heart of Petersham. Their desserts are no slouches either, with the pimped Portugese tart a standout.
Most addictive dish is awarded to the school prawns, deep-fried so they eat as noisily as potato chips. It's a simple dish that works only with the freshest of ingredients. And there's attention to detail too, with the deliberate scattering of baby radishes, chives and micro herbs to break up the heaviness.
