I got an iced chai (akin to a tinted milk when it came to the actual flavor profile) and an egg and cheese sandwich on a Philly muffin. I noticed the person working gave me my exact $10 change in a singular $5 and five $1 's. Possibly because they were low on $10 and $5s but I like to think it was because she wanted to give me change I would reasonably be expected to tip from. I would like to assume the latter to give them some respect for the hustle and I did give them a tip for that reason. Edit: While I did not enjoy my chai here, I do respect this business for its morality and integrity and willingness to stand with humanity. I will return to try other things and support the business
Phenomenal atmosphere best service . Nice and relaxing. Nothing pretentious. I this place
My favorite cafe in Philly. The employees are always wonderful, the coffee is incredible, the music and atmosphere is always perfect, and the food is amazing. Today I got a turkey pesto but it turned out that they were out of turkey so we ended up swapping the turkey for bacon and then adding tomato so it was a sort of BLT situation. It was stunning and excellent and I would recommend it (the sandwich and also the cafe) to anyone and everyone. Hands down best cafe in Philly.
