I ordered tandoori chicken and it was stale, dried out and smelled burnt. I have never in my life tasted tandoori chicken this bad. It didn’t have any of the seasoning. It looked like dried baked chicken and to think they charge $20 for this! I will never order from here again. If I could give them zero stars I would. One star is far too generous. This place is totally overrated and overpriced. Go somewhere else!
I'm not sure what was in the mixed pickle appetizer, but pieces of it were inedible and it was extremely spicy. Ordered Uber delivery and my dishes were each labeled which made it seem like the food was taken off the shelf and heated up. Soggy saag, and samosa insides were a dull grey color.
The food overall was okay. Everything needed a bit more salt though. The butter chicken was pretty good. Onion bhaji was good. Vegetable samosa was mostly potatoes literally had only one pea inside of it. If the butter chicken is going to be $20 I would expect a larger portion of the butter chicken than what I received, it was only a small container with not much meat so I would definitely have wanted more chicken than what I got.
Very mediocre, disappointing chicken quality, it was not much different than the kind of chicken found in gas station salad. Thin and sad. Watery makhani, expensive price. They are cutting corners.
What a disappointment! I moved to Mt Airy in 2011 and this was always my go to spot the last few times I’ve ordered it wasn’t that good. But yesterday was my last and final time ever ordering from Tiffin. The food was disgusting butter chicken was watery, samosas fried way too hard and inedible. The mango drink was ok but the quality of the food has definitely declined. Sad to no longer patronize this place. But I found another place called New Era Indian, food is fresh and very tasty.
